Julian Rivers is one of the United Kingdom’s foremost scholars of the legal regulation of religions, having a particular interest in the law of religious organizations. His principal academic role is as professor of jurisprudence at the University of Bristol Law School, where he teaches constitutional law, Roman law, and jurisprudence. He is also an editor-in-chief of the Oxford Journal of Law and Religion.
