Jean-Michel Landry

Jean-Michel Landry is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley and a research fellow at the Institut Français du Proche-Orient. His work focuses on the practice of Islamic Law in Lebanon and the anthropological uses of critical theory. He is the author of a series of scholarly articles resulting from research conducted in Michel Foucault’s archives in Caen (France). He regularly intervenes in Canadian newspapers.
