Pamela Klassen

Pamela Klassen is Professor in the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto. She recently co-edited Making Promises: Treaties, Oaths, and Covenants in Multi-jurisdictional and Multi-religious Societies (University of Toronto Press) and is the author of The Story of Radio Mind: A Missionary’s Journey on Indigenous Land (University of Chicago Press). She is currently working on a book on the public memory of gold rushes and the alchemy of empire.
