Yuting Wang

Dr. Yuting Wang is Professor of Sociology at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and a Non-resident Research Fellow at Purdue University’s Center on Religion and the Global East. Her current research spans several key areas: transnational religious networks, Chinese Muslims, overseas Chinese in the Arab Gulf, and China's soft power in the Middle East and North Africa. She is the author of numerous journal articles, book chapters, commentaries, and two research monographs, Between Islam and the American Dream: An Immigrant Muslim Community in Post-9/11 America (Routledge, 2014) and Chinese in Dubai: Money, Pride, and Soul-Searching (Brill, 2020).
