Joanna Tice Jen is a professor of Political Science at Las Positas College in Livermore, California, where she also serves as Political Science Program Coordinator. She is the author of the Oxford Bibliographies article “Religion in Contemporary Political Thought” (2020) and a co-editor and contributor of Regimes of Happiness: Comparative and Historical Studies (2019). The original essay draws on her PhD dissertation, “Thine is the Kingdom: The Political Thought of 21st Century Evangelicalism” (2017). Her teaching and research interests are primarily in American political thought, with a focus on religious, racial, feminist, LGBTQIA+, and labor movements and identities.
