Jolyon Baraka Thomas

Jolyon Baraka Thomas is Assistant Professor of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches courses on Japanese religions, popular culture, and history. He is currently finishing a book with the working title Japan, the Allied Occupation, and the Problem of Religious Freedom. Thomas is co-editor of the Asian Traditions section of the Marginalia Review of Books and a regular contributor at Sacred Matters. He can be followed @jolyonbt.
