Roger Friedland is visiting professor of media, culture, and communication at New York University and Emeritus Professor of religious studies and sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He seeks a religious sociology of institutional order equally applicable to market value, love, and salvation. He is currently working on a book on institutional logics. He recently published “The Passion of Luc Boltanski” with Diane-Laure Arjaliès, Research in the Sociology of Organizations, 2017.
