Roger Baumann is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Director of Peace and Justice Studies at Hope College. His work focuses on intersections of religious, racial, and national identities. He is the author of Black Visions of the Holy Land: African American Christian Engagement with Israel and Palestine , which is forthcoming from Columbia University Press.
