The SSRC is an independent, international, nonprofit organization. It fosters innovative research, nurtures new generations of social scientists, deepens how inquiry is practiced within and across disciplines, and mobilizes necessary knowledge on important public issues.
Kristy L. Slominski is Assistant Professor of Religion, Science, and Health at the University of Arizona. Her book, Teaching Moral Sex: A History of Religion and Sex Education in the United States, is forthcoming with Oxford University Press in January 2021. This work explores religious contributions to national movements for public sex education in the United States from the late nineteenth century to the present.
