Jin Y. Park

Jin Y. Park is William Fraser McDowell Chair Professor and chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at American University. Her work explores the intersections of gender, violence, and the politics of discrimination, aiming to uncover power structures within philosophical and religious traditions and to amplify marginalized voices. She is the author, editor, or translator of numerous books, including Women and Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhism and Postmodernity, and Marginality (forthcoming). She has served as president of the American Academy of Religion, the North American Korean Philosophy Association, and the Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy.
