Evan Haefeli

Evan Haefeli is an historian of colonial North America and associate professor in the History Department at Columbia University. His current research is on religious toleration and the development of pluralism in early America, including his most recent book New Netherland and the Dutch Origins of American Religious Liberty. He has held fellowships from the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers, the McNeil Center for Early American Studies, the Huntington Library, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
