Pamela J. Prickett is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Amsterdam. Her research interests include urban sociology, religion, gender, and death and dying. She is the author of Believing in South Central: Everyday Islam in the City of Angels (Chicago, 2021). She is currently collaborating with Stefan Timmermans on a book on unclaimed deaths, forthcoming from Crown.
