Agnès Desmazières is maître de conferences in church history and systematic theology at the Centre Sèvres-Facultés jésuites de Paris. Her last book, Le dialogue pour surmonter la crise: Le pari réformateur du pape François (Salvator, 2019), examines how dialogue, a central theme in Pope Francis’s thought, is crucial to overcome both social and church’s crisis. In line with her first book, L’inconscient au paradis : Comment les catholiques ont reçu la psychanalyse (Payot, 2011), she has embarked on a new project on the recent transformations of priestly identity, focusing on the impact of human and social sciences.
