Iza Hussin

Iza Hussin is the Mohamed Noah Fellow at Pembroke College and University Lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge. She is the author of The Politics of Islamic Law: Local Elites, Colonial Authority and the Making of the Muslim State (Chicago 2016), and a number of articles on Islam, law, state formation, and Muslim politics. Her current research traces circulations of law in the Indian Ocean arena.
