Roxanne L. Euben

Roxanne L. Euben is the Ralph Emerson and Alice Freeman Palmer Professor of Political Science at Wellesley College. Her publications include Enemy in the Mirror: Islamic Fundamentalism and the Limits of Modern Rationalism, Journeys to the Other Shore: Muslim and Western Travelers in Search of Knowledge, and Princeton Readings in Islamist Thought: Texts and Contexts from Al-Banna to Bin Laden, written and edited with Muhammad Qasim Zaman. Euben’s research has been supported by fellowships from the NEH, the ACLS and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. She is currently working on a book on genealogies and rhetorics of humiliation.
