I found this chart buried in a study entitled “Unfavorable views of Jews and Muslims on the Increase in Europe” (which is quite disturbing). The report is part of the Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes Project.
The chart shows that the wealthier a country is, the less important religion is to that country. The one exception: The United States.
