The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) recently released a new guide, Partnering with Religious Communities for Children, intended to support UNICEF staff and other child rights organizations in efforts to build effective partnerships with religious communities, in particular religious leaders, networks, and local faith communities. Report highlights includes:

—descriptions of the ways in which religious communities can positively contribute to the promotion of child rights;

—more than 40 concrete examples of collaborative work across a range of programme areas, including child protection, education, health, nutrition, and HIV/AIDS;

—strategies for effectively engaging with religious communities.
