William Cavanaugh
William T. Cavanaugh is Professor of Catholic Studies and Director of the Center for World Catholicism at DePaul University in Chicago. He is the author of nine books, including The Myth of Religious Violence (Oxford University Press, 2009), and most recently The Uses of Idolatry (Oxford University Press, 2024). He has lectured on six continents, and his books and articles have been published in seventeen languages.
