The SSRC is an independent, international, nonprofit organization. It fosters innovative research, nurtures new generations of social scientists, deepens how inquiry is practiced within and across disciplines, and mobilizes necessary knowledge on important public issues.
Mateo Taussig-Rubbo is Associate Professor of Law at SUNY Buffalo. He is co-editor, with Winnifred Fallers Sullivan and Robert Yelle, of After Secular Law (Stanford University Press, 2011) and author of numerous articles and book chapters, including: "Outsourcing Sacrifice: The Labor of Private Military Contractors," Yale Journal of Law and the Humanities

Sovereignty in Kenya," Humanity 1, no. 2 (2011): 51-74. Taussig-Rubbo holds a J.D. from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
