Setrag Manoukian is a cultural anthropologist interested in knowledge and its relationship with power. His area of specialty is Iran. He is the author of essays on Iran’s society and culture and of City of Knowledge in Twentieth Century Iran: Shiraz, History, Poetry (Routledge, 2012). He teaches at the Institute of Islamic Studies and the Department of Anthropology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
