Michael Lambek
Michael Lambek is professor of anthropology and Canada Research Chair as well as department chair at the University of Toronto, Scarborough. He writes on ethical life, religion, and historicity in the western Indian Ocean. He has recently published The Ethical Condition (U Chicago P), and Island in the Stream (U Toronto P), and coedited the Companion to the Anthropology of Religion (Wiley-Blackwell). In 2019 he delivered the Tanner Lecture Concepts and Persons at the University of Michigan.
