Jessica Johnson is a visiting assistant professor of religious studies at William & Mary. Her book Biblical Porn: Affect, Labor, and Pastor Mark Driscoll's Evangelical Empire was published with Duke University Press in 2018. She is currently conducting research on how the online networking of conspiracy theories inspire feelings of conviction and incite processes of radicalization that provoke offline violence and acts of domestic terrorism by white men.
