Edward Baring is associate professor of European intellectual history at Drew University. The author of The Young Derrida (Cambridge, 2011) and Converts to the Real: Catholicism and the Making of Continental Philosophy (Harvard, 2019), he is currently working on a transnational history of Marxism in the twentieth century.
