Jeremy Biles is assistant professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he teaches courses on religion, philosophy, and art. He is the author of Ecce Monstrum: Georges Bataille and the Sacrifice of Form (2007) and coeditor (with Kent Brintnall) of Negative Ecstasies: Georges Bataille and the Study of Religion. His current work engages surrealism toward developing an "erotics of everyday life."
