Doris Sommer is Ira Jewell Williams, Jr., Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures and in African and African American Studies at Harvard University and Director of the Cultural Agents Initiative. She is the author of Bilingual Aesthetics: A New Sentimental Education (Duke University Press, 2004).
