Samuli Schielke is a research fellow at Zentrum Moderner Orient in Berlin, Germany. As a cultural and social anthropologist, he has been conducting research on religiosity, morality, aspiration and frustration in everyday life in Egypt since 2002. He was in Egypt during the revolution from 31 January until 6 February.
