John Tresch

John Tresch is professor of history of science and art at the Warburg Institute in London and coeditor of the History of Anthropology Review. His publications include The Romantic Machine: Utopian Science and Technology after Napoleon (Chicago, 2012), The Reason for the Darkness of the Night: Edgar Allan Poe and the Forging of American Science (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2021), and Cosmograms: How to Do Things with Worlds (Chicago, forthcoming).
