Iman AbdoulKarim

Iman AbdoulKarim is a Ph.D. candidate in African American studies and religious studies at Yale University. Her dissertation is an intellectual history of twentieth-century US Black nationalism that centers Black Muslima thinkers and the embodied modes of knowing essential to their practices of self-determination and Islam. Her project offers an analysis of self-determination as both a political philosophy and a form of spiritual intellectualism for Black women in the United States.
