Brian Connolly

Brian Connolly is an associate professor of history at the University of South Florida. His essays and articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Avidly, History of the Present, and J19, among other places. He is an editor of History of the Present: A Journal of Critical History. His most recent book is Domestic Intimacies: Incest and the Liberal Subject in Nineteenth-Century America (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2014). He is currently completing a book on psychoanalysis and contemporary culture, provisionally titled "The Age of the Phallus."
