Michael Driessen is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Affairs at John Cabot University, Rome. Michael’s research explores the relationship between religion and democracy in Europe and the Middle East, and he has published the book Religion and Democratization with Oxford University Press (2014). He is currently finishing a manuscript on the Global Politics of Interreligious Dialogue and editing a new volume on Catholicism and European Politics.
