In conjunction with the launch of its new Digital Culture program, the Social Science Research Council has adopted a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 License for all content published on or after January 1, 2014, on the SSRC’s public website and related SSRC sites, including The Immanent Frame and other SSRC digital forums. This Creative Commons license is not an alternative to copyright but rather works alongside copyright to enable republication, redistribution, and accessibility. The license alters copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved,” permitting readers to copy, distribute, and display the work as long as they mention and link back to the SSRC, attribute the work appropriately (including both author and title), and do not adapt the content or use it commercially. As has long been the policy of SSRC, the rights to work published by The Immanent Frame and other SSRC sites remain with the author/creator of the work.
