Postdoc fellowship: New Circles of Learning for Engaged Scholars Studying Congregations

The Boston University School of Theology is seeking a Research Fellow in Congregational Studies for a three-year period, beginning June 1, 2012. Review of applications will begin March 19 and continue until the position is filled. The fellow will work on a Lilly-funded project entitled New Circles of Learning for Engaged Scholars Studying Congregations.

Boston University School of Theology seeks a post-doctoral Research Fellow for a period of three years, beginning June 1, 2012.  The Fellow will work under the auspices of BU’s Center for Practical Theology and in collaboration with the Congregational Studies Team, an independent scholarly network, to direct the creation of a web-based pedagogical resource to enhance research and teaching  on congregations and other communities of faith.  The Fellow will oversee design, solicit content from a wide range of scholars and practitioners, and develop innovative web-based learning tools.

Candice Scharf is a consultant with the SSRC's program on Religion and Public Sphere. She is a Master’s graduate from New York University’s Center for Global Affairs, where she majored in Global Affairs and specialized in International Relations. She has a great interest in religion’s effect on international affairs and completed her Master’s thesis on religion’s effect on Middle Eastern foreign policy.
