J. Kameron Carter is Associate Professor Theology and Black Church Studies at Duke University Divinity School and is a member of Duke University’s Graduate Faculty of Religion. He is the author most recently of Race: A Theological Account (OUP, 2008) and is working on two book projects: The Secular Jesus: Political Theology from Columbus to the Age of Obama (with Yale University Press) and Death Negotiations: Black Intellectuals and Religion.
