Seema Alavi

Seema Alavi is a professor of history at Delhi University. She specializes in early-modern and modern South Asia. She has written books on the military and medical cultures of the region from the early-modern to modern times. Her most recent book is Muslim Cosmopolitanism in the Age of Empire from Harvard University Press (2015).
