Omar Farahat is an assistant professor of law at McGill University. He studies classical Islamic legal and moral theories. His first book project (under contract) studies the place of divine speech in the construction of norms in Islamic legal theory. His research appeared in the Journal of Religious Ethics and the Journal of Law and Religion.
