Barbara D. Metcalf

Barbara D. Metcalf is Professor of History Emerita at the University of California, Davis and President of the American Historical Association. Her most recent books are Husain Ahmad Madani: The Jihad for Islam and India’s Freedom (2009) and an edited volume of primary sources, Islam in South Asia in Practice (2009).
