Luke Timothy Johnson is the Robert W. Woodruff Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins at the Candler School of Theology, Emory University. His recent book, Among the Gentiles: Greco-Roman Religion and Christianity (Yale, 2009), won the 2011 Grawemeyer Award in Religion.
